Starhaven Villas is a brand new active adult community. There’s something exciting about creating a new community and about being a part of it. A new community means a clean slate, a blank canvas, however you choose to say it, it’s an opportunity.
The great news is that everyone moving to Starhaven Villas is the “new kid on the block”, so you’re in this together. This is a great time to make friendships and meaningful connections with all your new neighbors. Let’s explore some ways you can foster that opportunity.
During the summer and fall months, you could ask your neighbor to go for a walk. This is an excellent way to get to know someone while getting a little fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. Enjoy the beautiful views and the walking trail provided around the outdoor amenities.
Any time of year is a good time to start a book club, movie club, or diner club. A lot of people enjoy all three. Host a book club in your home, or in the clubhouse. This is a great way to explore similar interests. It’s always fun to get a group together and go to the movies. Add a box of movie theater popcorn and a soda, and you’re set for an enjoyable night. Whether you discuss a book or enjoy a movie, you could always add dinner at a favorite restaurant. Food seems to bring out great conversation and laughter.
Once our clubhouse is complete, there will be scheduled activities, from Pickleball tournaments to cooking classes and art demonstrations. The ideas of fun activities are endless.
The only one to determine if you make connections and friendships is YOU! So, knock on a door, wave “hi” and talk to someone new.
